The Galapagos archipelago lies 600 miles due west of mainland Ecuador and is a province of that South American republic. The equator runs through the northernmost islands.
There are daily flights to Baltra Island from the capital city of Quito, or from the main port of Guayaquil, on TAME airlines.
On arrival at Baltra airport, you will be met by your naturalist guide and taken directly to the harbor to board the Beagle.
Climate
December through
May–warmer water temperatures, clear skies, intense sunshine, calm sailing. June through November–cooler water temperatures, partly cloudy skies, choppy seas, better sailing winds. The magic of Galapagos is that every month of the year offers its own particular attraction with respect to the changing life cycles of all the flora and fauna. There is no wrong time to visit these remarkable islands.
